Inspirations
This is an evolving list of things that I draw inspiration from, in both my life journey as well as my coaching journey. These are things that I have found helpful, and no endorsement is implied, rather, as a magpie, feel free to explore those that resonate with you, seek out others, and start your own inspiration collection.
The Boy the Mole the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Macksey

This wonderful book (as well as its award winning animated film adaptation) was published in 2019, and I discovered it during Covid and lockdown. The book with its beautiful line illustrations and text resonated because each page reminded me of how much I had to appreciate, and also that I was never alone on the journey. It's a book I've gifted numerous times (each guest at our wedding celebrations received a copy).
Mantras

I find mantras, particularly those tied to a particular diety or subject that resonates with me, to be a powerful way to focus, and have gratitude. There is a spiritual element to this, and whatever you believe (or don't) there may be stops on your own journey where a mantra can do the same for you. The Hindu deities Durga and Ganesh are 2 that I find comfort and inspiration from.
Wellness Apps

There are a number of mental health apps ( i.e. Headspace, Calm, Happily, Unwind for example). I'm fortunate to have a paid subscription through my employer; many apps offer slimmed down access through free versions. I find that these apps, particularly the narrated stories, etc. can be soothing and help reframe and relax.

Adriene is a US based yoga teacher and coach, and her YouTube Channel hosts loads of different options that you can curate to your skill level and how you are feeling.
Time to Think: Listening to Ignite the Human Mind by Nancy Kline

Time to Think is a book by Nancy Kline that explores the power of effective listening as well as the power of giving oneself, and other, the time and space to think.
Podcasts

The number of podcasts out there seems limitless. Some are just for fun, some are informative, thoughtful, provocative, etc. One I've listened to for years is This American Life hosted by Ira Glass. The subjects covered are often global in nature (a recent episode featured a conversation with a man and his family in Gaza). I just started listening to episode 821: Embrace the Suck - basically just going with it when things look like they are heading south.
